The Denver neighborhood of Berkeley-Regis is a beautiful thriving community centered around three parks and the bustling shopping district of Tennyson Street. The area dates back to 1863 when it was originally Berkeley Farms. Elitch’s Gardens which was a zoological and botanic garden was very popular in the 1890’s and it drew crowds from all over as it was also the first place in Denver to screen movies. The neighborhood has continued to maintain it’s original reputation as an arts and cultural district more than a century later.

Parks and Recreation in Berkeley-Regis:

Berkeley Park – Enjoy the paved walkway around the lake or sit at one of the many picnic tables admiring the mountain views. The park boasts a pool, playground, fenced dog park, numerous tennis courts, and tons of green space right off Tennyson Street.

Cesar Chavez Park – The park is centrally located on Tennyson Street amongst the shops and restaurants. You can often find young families on the playground and locals hanging out in the park playing basketball or pingpong.

Rocky Mountain Lake Park – The park is a great location for family and friends to get together to have a picnic. You can often find young sports teams practicing on the fields. True to Denver’s active outdoorsy lifestyle, there are always people running or walking along the lake’s paved trail with their four legged friends.
